Start your beekeeping journey with a strong, ready-to-go colony. Our nucleus hives come with 5 frames — typically 3 frames of brood and 2 frames of food — giving your new hive the best possible foundation.
Each nuc is headed by a queen grafted from a certified breeder queen, selected specifically for enhanced hygienic behaviour. This trait enables bees to detect and remove varroa mite-infested brood cells naturally, helping to keep mite loads low without chemical intervention.
Please note: While our queens are bred for hygienic behaviour, mite monitoring and management remain the responsibility of the beekeeper. We recommend regular testing and intervention where necessary.
🐝 Pick up only — due to the live and delicate nature of this product, we are unable to ship nucleus hives. Collection arrangements will be confirmed upon purchase.
Once the hive has been collected, full responsibility for the colony's care and welfare transfers to the purchaser.
